Own Demons

Your eyes will swell

They always do

You’re used to it, I know

It’s tiring but ‘can’t let go

Sadness eating you whole

Depression is her tool

Your demons won’t ever let you sleep

Just lying there and weep

They keep telling you it’s your fault

No it’s not dear, don’t give it a thought

This was never your choice

You’d rather rejoice

But try to let go of that thing in your hand

Bleeding will not help you stand

*unfinished*
