My Love of Scary Stuff
If you have read my first post: Meet The ME, you probably know about my weirdness of not being scared of horror movies. I love watching horror movies, I could watch them all day long and not get bored. I'm a daily reader of Creepy Pasta stories and I was so glad to come across this FB Page: Read If You Dare which is managed by a fellow Filipina as well. Check out her page for creep stuff!
This interest on scary, dark and creepy thing actually blossomed from the love of anime. To be honest, during my childhood I was a scaredy cat. I have sleepless nights after watching a horror movie, covered in sheets scared to death as if a monster would grab me from under the bed.
During my high school days, a certain anime caught my attention. It is about a story of a girl who loves gore and scary stuff who is scared of people--especially good-looking ones--which is kind of ironic since people are scared of her as well because of her appearance. She always gets a nosebleed when staring at good-looking people. Unfortunately for her she had to live in a mansion with four handsome men who are always trying to force her become a "true lady" just so they won't be kicked out from the house by her aunt.
I'm sure Otakus reading this right now know what anime this is. It's Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge (The Wallflower). Because of so much love for this anime and especially for its main character Sunako Nakahara, I came to adapt her personality as well. That's what started my love of scary things. The reason why I'm so excited for this scary this time of the year where TV, social media and stories are all about scary stuff. Let's enjoy the season! Time to unleash your scary side! <3
